An adult wild dog stops to gaze at the camera with interest. Wild dogs are curious animals and will often make close approaches to within a few feet of a vehicle. This dog was part of a pack setting out on a hunt, close to Chitabe Camp, in the Okavango Delta, Botswana. Protected areas in Botswana are still home to good numbers of wild dogs.
